Chobe Bakwena
Kasane
Accommodation
What started out as a barren soccer pitch has become Chobe Bakwena Lodge, a pleasant and eco-friendly refuge. After a long career as managers of various safari camps in Botswana, the owner and manager couple Jenny and Adam Young have acquired the land on the Chobe in 2000 and ensured that the original vegetation returns and with it the indigenous wildlife.
The lodge consists of 10 River View Chalets and 5 Treetop Chalets. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with both indoor and outdoor shower. The River View Chalets are overlooking the magnificent Chobe River, whereas, a little further back, the five Treetop Chalets are elevated 3 meters on stilts above ground and wrapped in a tree canopy. The slightly larger Honeymoon Suite features a bigger deck with outdoor lounge and outside shower. The adjacent chalet is the Family Room with two separate bedrooms (1 x King, 1 x Twin) and shared bathroom.
In the middle of the grounds is the cozy main building with an inviting Eco Pool that promises cooling on hot days.
