Set beside a pretty lagoon, &Beyond Nxabega Okavango Camp is an upmarket option. The camp is known for its elegant tented accommodation, fine food and access to an attractive safari area where both land and water activities are possible almost all year round.

The nine tented suites (including a family option) set on raised wooden platforms, are cradled under a canopy of towering ebony trees. Each spacious unit features a luxurious bed, an extended private veranda complete with a shaded sitting area, irresistible hanging daybed, and glorious Delta outlooks. The open-designed ensuite bathroom has both an indoor and screened outdoor shower. The family suite consists of the two rooms (No 5 & 6) that are closest to the main area, linked by an enclosed walkway.

Burnished teak floors and a lofty roof frame the rather elegant sitting and dining areas that include an interactive food and coffee bar and and a open-air boma for traditional dinners under the stars. A raised walkway leads from the main deck to a seperate swimming pool area, equipped with inviting loungers and shaded salas. A friendly therapist will look after your well-being in the message sala or in the privacy of your room after a long day on safari.

Nxabega Camp is part of the private NG 27A concession, located in the southwest of the Okavango Delta, bounded by the Boro and Xudum rivers and bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. The concession benefits from access to the waters of the Xudum River and supports a good populations of game all year round and superb water based activities during the flood season. It is a pretty area, dotted with lots of palm trees typical for the southern parts of the Okavango Delta.

Nxabega Camp is accessed by light aircraft. Flight time to Maun in a Cessna Caravan is about 20 minutes, and 1 hour 30 minutes to Kasane. Driving time from the local airstrip to Nxabega Camp is approximately 15 minutes.

Wildlife can be very good, with frequent predator sightings such as lion, leopard and wilddog. Elephant, buffalo, kudu, impala, giraffe, bushbuck, lechwe, zebra and wildebeest can be ticked off on your game drives and hippo and crocodiles inhabit the river channels and lagoons.

Nxabega Camp offers land activities such as game drives and walking safaris and seasonal water activities such as boat cruises, mokoro (except November & December), and fishing (April-December only). Game Drives are conducted with not more than 6 guests per vehicles.

As the camp is located in a private concession, night driving with a searchlight and off-road driving for special animal observation is allowed. Close-up shots are guaranteed.
