Positioned just 50 minutes from Sir Seewoosagar Ramgoolam International Airport, Shangri La‘s Le Touessrok is located in the eastern part of the island. Mauritius was completely uninhabited until 1507, when Captain Don Pedro Mascarenhas discovered the island on a voyage from Cape Town to India. The ancestors of today‘s Mauritians were mainly Indians, Pakistanis, Africans, French and English, which explains the interesting cuisine, the Creole language and the high mutual acceptance of the different religions.

Fitness center, e-bikes, four tennis courts, kayak, SUP, snorkeling, pedalo, windsurfing are included in every stay. Additional fee is applicable for water skiing, wakeboard, deep-sea fishing, tube rides, sailing (also catamaran), kite surfing, scuba diving (PADI and CMAS courses). Non-motorised water sports are available at the resort’s mini boathouse on Hibiscus beach. Motorised water sports are proposed by third party providers and practiced outside the hotel’s lagoons. Guests staying at Shangri-La’s can enjoy green fees at no extra cost at Ile aux Cerfs and Anahita Golf Club. A minimum of 5 nights stay is required to receive green fees at no extra cost.
