The style of the villa is luxurious and very stylish. High quality wood and stone walls were used to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. There are three en-suite bedrooms in the main house, which also includes a living room with large dining table, a kitchen, a wine cellar and the main swimming pool.
Two additional rooms, each with its own plunge pool, are located at the right and left of the main house. The glass sliding doors of the rooms can be fully opened to welcome in the warmth of Seychelles. However, if temperatures are too high, keep in mind that all the rooms can be air-conditioned to your liking.
Delicious meals are served according to your timing and diet requirements. Deckenia Villa's staff will happily discuss options on how to spend your days on Praslin should you wish to be active. In the evening the bonfire on the beach will be the meeting point before and after dinner.
Deckenia Villa is situated at «Anse Gouvernement» in the east of Praslin and can be reached by vehicle from the airport in about 25 min.
The Cat Cocos ferry does the trip between Mahé and Praslin in about 60 minutes. Alternatives are a hellicopter charter or a small airplane, both taking about 15 min to cover the distance to Mahé.
Almost the entire surface of Praslin is covered with a tropical jungle. The interior of the island is quite mountainous, the highest point reaches 367m.
The Vallée de Mai is a bit touristic but still worth a visit. Besides Curieuse Island, Praslin is the only island on the Seychelles where the unique "Coco de Mer" survived. The Vallée de Mai Nature Preserve, established in 1979 and declared a UNESCO Word Heritage Site, is home to a palm forest of about 5'000 such palm trees.
Well known and beatiful Anse Lazio beach, situated in the northwest of Praslin, can be reached by bicycle and is well worth a visit. Best bring a picnic.
