Bushmans Kloof is a multi award-winning lodge nestled in the foothills of the Cederberg Mountains. The canyons and mountains in the area host more than 130 ancient Bushman rock art sites, a sanctuary full of stories and magic. In 1991 seven farms encompassing 7500 hectares of overgrazed and neglected land were combined into a game reserve and renaturated, allowing the fynbos to slowly but surely return to its former splendour. Today the guests of Busmans Kloof enjoy luxurious accommodation and wellness in the middle of breathtaking nature.

Bushmans Kloof offers 7 luxury rooms, 7 deluxe rooms with lounge, the Paterson Suite, the Riverside Supreme Suite and the Koro Lodge, a private villa for families and friends featuring two en-suite bedrooms and a loft for the children. Bushmans Kloof is a member of Relais & Chateaux and has high standards with regards to the quality and creativity of their cuisine. Dinner venues are either at the Homestead itself, at Makana (an open-sided lounge for al-fresco dining) or at Embers. Embers is a platform built into a natural sandstone amphitheatre with spectacular views over the valley below. It is lit by a roaring fire, and a myriad candles and lanterns create a truly magical atmosphere for a dinner under the stars.

Bushmans Kloof is nestled in the foothills of the Cederberg Mountains. It is about a 3 hours scenic drive from Cape Town (270km) via the Pakhuis Pass.

Bushmans Kloof is a malaria and predator free area. The reserve is home to 34 mammals (including the rare Cape Mountain Zebra), more than 140 bird species and more than 755 indigenous plant species. The flower season from August to October is a sight unlike any other.

The lodge offers game drives in open land rovers. Rock art excursions provide insight into the deep and rich spiritual culture of the Bushman. Further activities include hiking, canoeing, archery, biking, fly-fhishing, swimming in rock pools or in one of the 4 lodge swimming pools, of wich one is heated.

The award-winning Spa features four treatment rooms, a steam room, a riverside gazebo with views over the Boontjes River and a tranquility lounge. There is also a fitness room at the Homestead.
