Luxurious Pioneer Camp is the most secluded Londolozi camp. With only three interconnected suites, the camp is ideally suited for couples (on honeymoon) or guests who want to enjoy special privacy. The camp was renovated and reopened in 2010 - the décor is a clean and contemporary-classic design of leather, wood and light fabrics. Or as Londolozi describes: The inspiration for the refreshed look to weave the Ralph Lauren style into the original safari homestead.

All three suites (138m²) have en-suite bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers, as well as a romantic veranda with a private plunge pool and wonderful views of the Sand River. The suites are also suitable as accommodation for families or smaller groups due to their connecting corridors. Pioneer Camp is part of Relais & Chateaux.

Londolozi Game Reserve is a nature reserve situated in the very heart of the famous Sabi Sand Reserve. The reserve is accessed in approximately 1 hour 20 minutes by air and 5 hours by car from Johannesburg.

The stars of numerous documentary films, the Londolozi is renowned for its leopard and the chances of encountering big cat here are excellent. Londolozi is also home to numerous other species of animal, including elephant, hyena, rhino, antelope and giraffe. The Sand River winds its way through the reserve, attracting a large variety of wildlife and birdlife.

Game drives in open safari vehicles, night drives and daily bushwalks are available.
