Location
Covering an area of 150 km², Motswari Private Game Reserve is located within the Timbavati Reserve on the western edge of the Kruger National Park and north of the Sabi area. The reserve is unfenced and animals are able to move freely to and from Kruger National Park. As the lodge is part of a private concession, game drives are refreshingly private with few other vehicles in the concession.Offering excellent wildlife observation possibilities, Kruger National Park is the most renowned, largest (almost 2 million hectares) and game-rich national park in South Africa. The landscape here encompasses gently flowing hills, forests, open grasslands and romantic riverbanks. In addition to the Big 5 (elephant, lion, leopard, rhino and buffalo), the park is also home to hyena, hippo, giraffe, antelope and much, much more.
The reserve is accessible by road from Hoedspruit (40min) or by plane from Johannesburg (1.5hrs).
