Location
Offering excellent wildlife observation possibilities, Kruger National Park is the most renowned, largest (almost 2 million hectares) and game-rich national park in South Africa. The landscape here encompasses gently flowing hills, forests, open grasslands and romantic riverbanks. In addition to the Big 5 (elephant, lion, leopard, rhino and buffalo), the park is also home to hyena, hippo, giraffe, antelope and much, much more.
Ngala Tented Camp is situated 40 minutes by road from Hoedspruit Airport. Alternatively, it can be reached by light aircraft directly from Johannesburg in 1.5 hours.
Wildlife
The camps are located in a game-rich region comprising mopane woodlands and the plains along the Timbavati River. Lion, large herds of elephant and buffalo, leopard, cheetah, rhino, hyena and many species of antelope and bird tend to gather close to the camp.
