Accommodation
Tanda Tula Safari Camp features 7 Safari Suites for 2 guests and 2 Family Suites for 4 guests each (2 adults and 2 children or 2 couples). The spacious suites have an open plan lounge and bedroomconfiguration leading onto an expansive terrace with a plunge pool overlooking the dry riverbed. The bathroomoffers indoor and outdoor showers, freestanding bathtub, and all other amenities.

The main area consists of lounge, dining, and bar areas with a wraparound, covered patio, as well as a communal pool, a library, an exercise zone and the Wellness Nest.

Location
Tanda Tula Safari Camp is located within the Timbavati Game Reserve on the western edge of the Kruger National Park. It is perched on the banks of the mostly dry Nhlaralumi River, where elephants are often on their way in search of water. Timbavati Reserve is unfenced and animals are able to move freely to and from Kruger National Park.

Offering excellent wildlife observation possibilities, Kruger National Park is the most renowned, largest (almost 2 million hectares) and game-rich national park in South Africa. The landscape here encompasses gently flowing hills, forests, open grasslands and romantic riverbanks. In addition to the Big 5 (elephant, lion, leopard, rhino and buffalo), the park is also home to hyena, hippo, giraffe, antelope and much, much more.

Tanda Tula Safari Camp is accessible by road from Hoedspruit (45min) or by plane from Johannesburg (1.5hrs) to Timbavati Rockfig Airstrip from where it is a 15-min drive to camp.

Wildlife
Lion, large herds of elephants and buffalos, leopard, cheetah, rhino, giraffe, hyena, hippo and many antelopes and birds are seen on the safaris in the Timbavati area. With a bit of luck your guide will also find the rare wild dogs. The Timbavati area is probably only second to the Sabi Sand area which is probably the best area for animal sightings around the Kruger. However, as there are fewer guests in Timbavati, the safaris may feel a bit wilder and more authentic.

Activities
Game Drives in the morning and afternoon, bush walks, bush breakfasts & dinner in various locations.
