Mobile camps have a simpler, bush-like character. Although the rooms have an en-suite bathroom, there is often no running water in the rooms. Bathrooms are then equipped with a so-called bucket shower that needs to be filled with hot water by the camp team on demand.

Laba Migration Camp
Serengeti - Mobile

Accommodation
Laba Migration Camp is a mobile safari camp with a touch of luxury. The atmosphere is of authentic safari dating back to the end of the 19th century and the décor is based on the theme of ‘a cabinet of curiosities’, which is dedicated to nature. The intimate camp can accommodate up to 22 guests with 8 double and 2 family tents offering versatile arrangements, while two main tents open to nature serve as the lounge, library, bar and dining room.

Location
The camp moves three times a year in order to be as close to the Great Migration as possible.

Laba Migration Camp is dismantled in six days, three times a year, to set down in the main migration zones where the animals are concentrated. From November to March, the camp is found in south of the Serengeti in the Ndutu region, from April to July in Masabi in the Western Serengeti and from August to November in the Northern Serengeti, close to the Mara River crossings.

Wildlife
The wildebeest enjoying the fresh grass shoots in the Ndutu area from December to March and give birth in their thousands every day mostly in February. The animals then move north and start crossing the Mara River from the end of June. From July to October the Great Migration is usually found in the Northern Serengeti, where the famous River Crossing take place.

This camp is mostly booked to experience the Great Migration.

Activities
The experienced guides are on hand to show guests the surrounding area in a 4x4 vehicle or on foot.
