Lemala Nanyukie
Central Serengeti
Accommodation
Lemala Nanyukie is a modern tented camp in the center of the famous Serengeti. With the main building located in the center in a slightly elevated position, the camp is nestled around two kopjes, allowing magnificent views of the Serengeti plains. Sandy paths lead to the 14 suites, which are cleverly distributed over three different sectors, which gives the camp a much more intimate feel.
The safari tents are built on solid wooden platforms and are spaced comfortably to ensure maximum privacy. The living space in the tents is very roomy and includes a king-size bed, a cozy lounge, a bathroom with double washbasin and free-standing bathtub, outdoor shower, as well as a private terrace with a sunken lounge area and a small plunge pool. Some of the rooms can be extended with an extra bed to accommodate a child. One of the rooms is a larger 2-bedroom suite accommodating a family or 4 adults.
The main building consists of reception, curio shop, lounge/bar with swimming pool and a separate dining tent. Needless to say, the essential outdoor fireplace isn’t missing either. The spa is situated in a private location hidden between the rocks.

Wildlife
The center of the Serengeti is particularly vibrant and you will discover all kinds of wildlife. The density of camps as well as vehicles is higher in the vicinity of Seronera. However, you can reach a remote area in no time at all. For example, you can find a rhino in the west at Moru Kopjes or lions and cheetahs in the eastern plains around Simba/Barafu/Gol Kopjes.
The «Great Migration» or parts of it passing through can also be sighted. Nature is never exactly predictable, let yourself be surprised, the Serengeti always has exciting things in store.

Permanent Camps
Permanent camps do not change location and therefore have a better infrastructure than mobile camps.
Mobile Camps
Mobile camps operate in the Serengeti and change their location two or three times a year following the Great Migration of the wildebeest and zebra. Mobile camps have a simpler, bush-like character. Although the rooms have an en-suite bathroom, there is often no running water in the rooms. Bathrooms are then equipped with a so-called bucket shower that needs to be filled with hot water by the camp team on demand.
