Nyasi Tented Camp
Serengeti

Accommodation
Nyasi Tented Camp is a particularly elegant tented camp with a real „Out of Africa“. In the cosy lounge tent you can browse through beautiful safari coffee-table books, review your snapshots of the day or have interesting conversations. A campfire is part of the daily routine and whenever possible dinner is served outdoors.

The camp is divided into two parts that are run independently, with a main building on each side. One side includes six double tents and the other side features two double tents and one large family tent with two double beds and two en-suite bathrooms. The 'family tent' side can be booked privately for groups or families.

Location
The majestic and endless Serengeti is inextricably bound to the idea of a perfect safari experience - and rightfully so. With its unending plains and umbrella thorn acacias, the Serengeti is the epitome of natural African beauty.

Nyasi Tented Camp is situated on the southern side of the Mara River in the Kogatende area. The closest airstrip is Kogatende Airstrip.

Wildlife
The Great Migration of the wildebeest and zebras and the crossings of the Mara River can be witnessed from July to October - a special event and a fantastic highlight of any trip to the Serengeti.

During the rest of the year, Northern Serengeti is quite with guests and this is exactly the reason why you should visit. The resident game at Sayari Camp is spectacular all year round. Plains game in the form of zebra, topi, gazelles, impala, buffalo and giraffe all frequent the area, and the resident wildebeest never join the migrating herds. Lion, hyena and leopard are rarely far away.

Activities
Game drives in a private vehicle.

Permanent Camps
Permanent camps do not change location and therefore have a better infrastructure than mobile camps.
Mobile Camps
Mobile camps operate in the Serengeti and change their location two or three times a year following the Great Migration of the wildebeest and zebra. Mobile camps have a simpler, bush-like character. Although the rooms have an en-suite bathroom, there is often no running water in the rooms. Bathrooms are then equipped with a so-called bucket shower that needs to be filled with hot water by the camp team on demand.
