Location
Singita Grumeti Reserve is an exclusive private reserve (1'415 km²), which borders the Serengeti Western Corridor. Situated north of the Grumeti River, the reseve is ideally situated to experience the annual migration of the wildebeest as it enters the Western Corridor and crosses the Grumeti River.
Singita Serengeti House enjoys picturesque views of a watering hole from its perch on the south-east slopes of the Sasakwa hill. The house is accessed by air via Sasakwa Airstrip. The journey from the airstrip takes approximately 10 minutes.
Wildlife
Grumeti Reserve offers everything anybody could ever wish for from a safari, and the variety of wildlife is good all year round. Guests do not need to rely entirely on the migration of wildebeest and zebra, but can enjoy a safari here at any time of the year.
The reserve's grass plains provide a habitat for thousands of topi and represent the Serengeti in all its beauty. Lion, leopard, hyena and cheetah hunt here. Rhino have recently been released into the area. Crocodiles and hippos can be found in the pools of Grumeti River.
