Ubuntu Camp
Serengeti - Mobile
Accommodation
Ubuntu is a classic, seasonal camp that comprises ten guest tents and a main tent, where guests' culinary needs are catered for. The tents are equipped with a double bed or twin beds, en-suite bathroom with flushing WC, safari shower (hot water to order), safe and 24-hr solar electricity supply.
The camp enables visitors to get as close to nature as possible yet still relax and be pampered. The tents are erected side by side at ground level and come with a small private veranda, from which guests can observe the wildlife. The Ubuntu family unit consists of 2 identical en-suite bedrooms with a lounge in between, all under the same roof.
Location
The camp moves twice a year in order to be as close to the Great Migration as possible.
The camp can be found in Kusini area of the Southern Serengeti from mid December to mid March.
The camp settles north of the Mara River in the Lamai area of northern Serengeti from mid June until mid November in order to witness the river crossings at the Mara River.
Wildlife
The wildebeest enjoying the fresh grass shoots in the Ndutu area from December to March and give birth in their thousands every day, mostly in February. The animals then move north and start crossing the Mara River from mid of June.
This camp is mostly booked to experience the Great Migration.
Activities
The camp offers game drives.

Permanent Camps
Permanent camps do not change location and therefore have a better infrastructure than mobile camps.
Mobile Camps
Mobile camps operate in the Serengeti and change their location two or three times a year following the Great Migration of the wildebeest and zebra. Mobile camps have a simpler, bush-like character. Although the rooms have an en-suite bathroom, there is often no running water in the rooms. Bathrooms are then equipped with a so-called bucket shower that needs to be filled with hot water by the camp team on demand.
