Breezes Beach Club
Zanzibar Island

Accommodation
Established in 1992 by the Raguz's, Breezes Beach Club and Spa is still run by the same family today. The furniture is lovingly hand carved by local craftspeople and the exotic fabrics worked by busy seamstresses.

Set on a meadow by the sea, various houses offer enough space each for a deluxe room on a lower floor and two suites on an upper floor (with large balcony and loungers). The standard rooms are located to the rear of the site and thus less expensive. All 60 rooms feature a terrace, minibar, safe and air conditioning.

Breezes has several small restaurants and bars and a large swimming pool. As the little ones are made as welcome as the grown-ups, Breezes a great option for families. Parents may wish to visit to the Frangipani Spa for a little relax time when it all gets too much.

Location
The resort is located along Bwejuu Beach in the southeast of Zanzibar, approx. 1 hour's drive from the airport. Bwejuu Beach is pristine, long and perfect for a stroll. It is protected from large waves by an offshore reef.

Activities
Guests can visit the historical Stone Town or a spice plantation. Snorkelling trips and dolphin safaris on a dhow (traditional boat) are also on offer. Further activities include a trip to Jozani Forest, a village/school visit and deep-sea fishing.

Good to know
Breezes has a water sports centre with a PADI dive center that organizes dive courses and dives along the east cost of Zanzibar (http://www.risingsun-zanzibar.com)
