Transport Mode Visit of Table Mountain
Table Mountain is a landmark of Cape Town and rises in the back of the city to 1087 meters at its highest point. The Table Mountain massif also includes Signal Hill, Lion's Head and the Twelve Apostles, which extend from Kloof Nek (the saddle between Table Mountain and Lion's Head) to Hout Bay. Table Mountain can be climbed on foot, but there is also a cable car built by Caraventa. If you plan to use the cable car, best to get up early as the queues can become quite challenging.

Transport Mode Drive via Cape of Good Hope
After a thrilling time in town, you start your drive to the famous wine regions around Cape Town. The direct drive would be very short, however we recommend that you take a two-hour drive along the very scenic coastal road to Hout Bay, and via Chapman's Peak to the Cape of Good Hope. On the way to False Bay you have the chance to stop at Simon's Town, where a penguin colony lives.

When you drive along False Bay, you may stop from time to time to do some whale watching!

The road then turns left after some time, underpasses the main road N2 in direction of the wine areas.

Transport Mode Visit Cape of good Hope / Cape Point
The Cape of Good Hope lies about 44km south of Capetown and marked the turning point into the Indian Ocean for the trading ships on their way to India. The sea is rough and dangerous as the warm waters of the Agulhas current hit the cold Benguela current. Combined with very strong winds, this passage has always been a challenge for seafarers. The Cape is dominated by Cape Point and it's light house that is visible from far away.

Transport Mode Visit the penguins of Simon's Town
A colony of African penguins settled on the Cape peninsula close to Simon's Town in 1982. The colony has grown to more than 2000 birds in recent years and can be visited at Boulders beach and Foxy Beach. The animals are unusually tame and used to people and they provide great photo opportunities. The beach is public and in some areas people and penguins are swimming alongside.

La Clé Lodge offers expansive views, a tennis court, putt and chip lawn and helipad.

At La Clé, individual rooms can be booked in the main building (lodge) or private villas in La Clé Village. The distance between the lodge and the individual villas is about 10 minutes walk. La Clé Village consists of four villas: Grange (3 bedrooms), Manoir (2 bedrooms), Galerie (2 bedrooms) and Domain (4 bedrooms).

Location
The area around Cape Town is home to some of South Africa's most famous wine-producing regions, including Constantia (the oldest), Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek. In 1688, French Huguenot refugees settled in the small valley of Franschhoek, bringing their affinity to great wine and fantastic food with them.

Today, it is home to several famous wineries and some of South Africa's best restaurants. The landscape is as vibrant as the village is picturesque. The main street is lined with boutique shops, galleries, cafés and chocolatiers, and well worth an after-dinner stroll.

After some driving your reach Theewaterskloof Dam, the main water supply for Cape Town. Once you reach Villiersdorp, turn right and follow R43 until you hit the main road N2.
