The No.5 Boutique Hotel is a pleasant and much more private alternative to the corporate hotels in Entebbe. Its close proximity to the International Airport makes it the perfect stopover before or after your Uganda trip. The hotel's ten en-suite rooms are located in the main building, five of which are on the lower floor with direct access to the garden and five on the upper floor with a small balcony. The annex building is occupied by apartments that are rented for longer periods of time.
The No.5 restaurant offers international cuisine on a high level and an impressive selection of fine wines from South Africa. In the center of the green garden lies the large swimming pool where you can relax and mentally prepare yourself for your Uganda trip (or recall your journey before heading back to your home country). There is also a little spa offering massages next to the swimming pool.
Located adjacent to Lake Mburo National Park, Mihingo Lodge is perched high on a rocky kopje and has spectacular views over the vast savannah landscape. Designed to blend in with its fragile surroundings, the twelve thatched-roofed tents are raised on platforms and come with en-suite bathrooms, hot and cold running water, showers and flush loos. Each rooms has its unique charm and character, whether it is nestled in forest, overlooking the lake, perched on a rocky outcrop or located down by the water hole. An infinity pool overlooks the valley below where buffalo, eland, impala, warthogs, bush buck and zebra can be seen at the waterhole.
Mihingo Lodge is located close to Lake Mburo National Park. The drive to the park entrance takes about 30 minutes. The drive to Bwindi Forest takes about 6 hours, to Entebbe about 4 hours, Queen Elizabeth NP about 3,5 hour and Kibale Forest 5 hours.
Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge is located in southwestern Uganda, perched high on a hill, with sensational views of the Virunga volcanoes that stretch from Uganda via Rwanda into the Democratic Republic of Congo. At night, the glow of the Nyiragongo volcano shimmers in the distance. This view alone is already worth the nightly rate.
Clouds Lodge is the perfect base for exploring the natural habitat of the mountain gorillas of Bwindi. The Nkuringo group of gorillas can be reached in about 1.5 hours on foot. A truly unforgettable and touching experience.
The lodge is also considered a pioneer for ecotourism in Uganda and its involvement with the local people. Regional artists have contributed to the design of the lodge interior. In return guests of Clouds Lodge have preferential access to the Nkuringo sector and priority in the allocation of permits to this sector.
Built of local volcanic stone, the lodge's eight chalets (two of which are family rooms) have spacious en-suite bathrooms, a large sitting room with double-sided fireplace and beautiful views over the valley from your private veranda.
Travel time to Clouds Lodge from Entebbe is a whopping 10 hours. Flights from Entebbe take 1 hour 15 minutes to Kisoro Airstrip. The road transfer from the airstrip to the lodge is just over an hour.
Bwindi Lodge calls itself "Jungle Lodge", as the main building and rooms are beautifully nestled in the wild forests of Bwindi. The stylish main building offers a lounge, restaurant and the Bwindi Bar, which awaits you with drinks and samples of local cuisine.
The large windows of the main building are creating light and a sense of being in the middle of the forest. The main living area has a central fireplace which acts as a focal point for guests to relax and discuss their gorilla tracking experience. A newly designed outdoor terrace gives dramatic views of the impenetrable forest and is a great place to spot the monkeys and birds hidden in the foliage.
Guests are accommodated in eight tasteful bandas, which have en-suite bathrooms, showers and double washbasins. Most rooms also have a small terrace with lounge chairs. The two newly built deluxe bandas are larger and your upgrade option. A personal butler service is provided for all guests.

Kyambura Gorge Lodge offers eight remarkably tasteful bandas with double or twin beds. Four of the rooms, the Deluxe Bandas, are larger and provide even more space.

All rooms are equipped with en-suite bathrooms, flush toilet, double washbasins, shower and a private balcony. The rooms are named after the chimpanzees of Kyambura Gorge and are slightly elevated on a hillside. Enjoy views across Queen Elizabeth National Park to the snow-capped peaks of the Rwenzori Mountains, which are clearly visible on good days.
The lodge has vast grounds - in the middle of it sits the beautifully restored main house, which was a coffee roastery once. The old building has been carefully restored and transformed into a modern living room. If the weather permits, meals are served on the terrace. There is also a beautiful swimming pool and spa.
Kyambura Gorge is situated close to the lodge. Descending the steep gorge and crossing the log bridges over the river requires some agility and fitness. Chimp Trekking requires a permit, which is issued in advance and the trekkers must be accompanied by an official ranger.
Kazinga Channel connects Lake Edward and Lake George, named after Queen Victoria's son, Edward VII and his successor, George V. The boat trips start at Mweya Lodge, which can be reached in about an hours drive.

Kibale Lodge compromises eight deluxe rooms and a villa, plus a spa, sauna and pool. Three deluxe bandas will be open by May 2024 and five more by the end of 2024. Hand built by the Volcanoes Construction team, Kibale Lodge will bring out the characteristics of the special 150-acre site dominated by a rocky outcrop with stunning views of the Rwenzori Mountains (Mountains of the Moon) from the main ridge line looking towards the west and the Queen Elizabeth plains and the Kazinga channel to the south. The area is surrounded by lush homesteads of the Kabarole region, with its welcoming temperate climate.
Kibale Lodge is an hour’s drive from the historic hill town of Fort Portal and an hour from the Kasese airstrip, from which there are daily flights to and from Entebbe. Kibale Forest, the base for chimpanzee trekking, is a thirty-minute drive from the lodge.
