Cape Cadogan is a small boutique hotel in Cape Town. It consists of four Victorian houses from the early 19th century that have been beautifully renovated and furnished in style. They include the Upper Union Restaurant, which serves a delicious breakfast and is open to both guests and locals, the main house with the reception, lounge and various rooms, the annex with more rooms and finally the Residence, a private house with three rooms well suited for families.
There are 19 rooms in total (6 x Classic, 7 x Luxury, 6 x Superior Luxury), which are equipped with all modern amenities. The Luxury Rooms are slightly larger than the Classic Rooms and also have a balcony or an outdoor area. Finally, the Superior Luxury Rooms offer the most space and, in addition to a balcony or outdoor area, also have a lounge and a bathtub.
All houses have an indoor area with pool and sun loungers. Furthermore, there is also the possibility to be pampered in the spa or to steel the body in the gym.
Narina Lodge is situated in the eastern part of the Lion Sands Reserve in the actual Kruger National Park. Narina Lodge offers a traditional safari experience in a sophisticated waterside haven, and like all other Lion Sands lodges, is run with a lot of passion and professionalism. The operators characterise the lodge as 'organic chic' and this is probably spot on.
The main building and the nine 80m² suites are situated on the southern bank of the Sabie River and are built on stilts. The suites offer plenty of privacy, views of the Sabie River and are equipped with all the amenities one could wish for: En-suite bathroom with bathtub, indoor and outdoor shower, bedroom with view, lounge with minibar and large sliding doors to the terrace which features a private plunge pool.
Thorntree River Lodge is located on the majestic Zambezi River above the Victoria Falls on the Zambian side. The eclectic mix of local African culture and contemporary influences gives the lodge a pleasant lightness. The main building with its large veranda, infinty pool and floating fire pit, as well as the eight double rooms and two family rooms are lined up along the riverbank. The rooms all have their own small plunge pool and, depending on weather and preference, guests use the indoor or outdoor shower on the private terrace.
The charming Little Vumbura Camp has six large and lovingly furnished rooms, each with en-suite facilities, veranda with lounge sofa and, of course, spectacular panoramic views. A beautiful pool is located close to the main building, which also houses a large outdoor deck with fire pit, an open dining area with bar, a very comfortable lounge and a small library. The whole is finished in the style of a typical ‘small but nice' bush camp.
Little Vumbura is the little sister of the premier Vumbura Plains Camp. It is situated on a picturesque green island and is surrounded by broad rivers and reed-covered plains in the north of the Okavango Delta. It's out of the jeep and into a motorboat for the last 500m to the camp, as you chug along greeting the hippos.
Little Vumbura Camp is only accessible by light aircraft. The private airstrip is located approximately 45 minutes from the camp. Flight time to Maun in a Cessna Caravan is 35 minutes, and 1 hour 15 minutes to Kasane.
Little Vumbura Camp is part of the private Kwedi Concession (900 km²). Vumbura Plains Camp also belongs to this concession.
