Camp Hwange offers eight chalets with great views of a permanent waterhole. Each chalet is furnished with stylish simplicity, with en-suite bathroom facilities.

The main lodge is a thatched building made up of a big lounge, a restaurant, bar and an open fire place in front of the lodge. The open design allows easy observation of animals that visit the water hole in front of the lodge. If you dare, you may also want to make use of an observation point that was build right next to the Masuna waterhole.

Camp Hwange is located in a private concession in the Sinamatella area where self-drivers and guests from other lodges are not permitted. Camp Hwange combines well with camps further south-east like Makalolo, Linkwasha and Somalisa.

The Sinamatella area is situated in the northern part of Hwange National Park, with Shumba Pan and Masuma Dam being relatively close to the lodge.

A short flight (50 minutes) takes guests from Victoria Falls to Hwange Main airstrip, followed by a scenic drive to Hwange Camp (about two hours). A road transfer from Victoria Falls to Camp Hwange via Mbale Gate takes about 4 hours.

At 14'500 km², Hwange National Park is the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe. Open plains made predominantly of Kalahari sand alternate with mopane woodland and acacia scrub. The park offers the densest concentration of game in the whole of Africa.

Nestled in a stunning location tucked away on an acacia island along the edge of an ancient seasonal flood plain, Somalisa provides guests with breathtaking views of the savannah plains across the famous Kennedy Vlei line.

The camp consists of seven elegantly furnished tents with gauze sliding doors, a glass wood-burner fireplace for the cold winter nights, and an overhead fan for the hot summer days. Each tent has en suite bathroom facilities including flush toilets, an indoor and outdoor shower, as well as a copper slipper-style bathtub.

The main decking area includes split level decking with a separate lounge and dining area, as well as a small splash pool for guests overlooking the “Elephant Pool” and a natural waterhole where herds of game congregate to drink and where guests can relax whilst soaking in the African bush.

Somalisa Acacia Camp is Somalisa's sister camp. With two family units (parents + 2 children) and two standard double tents, it is the perfect place for families or private groups.

Somalisa Camp is situated in the south-eastern Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. A short flight (50 minutes) takes guests from Victoria Falls to Hwange Main Airstrip, followed by a scenic drive to the camp. Alternative flights land directly at the private Manga airstrip. The camp is part of the private Somalisa Concession which includes the famous Kennedy Vlei.
